FAQ

What are eyelash extensions?

Semi-permanent eyelash extensions are single strands of synthetic eyelashes that are curved to replicate a natural eyelash. Each extension is glued one by one, with one extensions to one of your own lashes. Lash extensions are made in varying lengths and thickness. They stay attached to your own lashes until your lashes shed naturally. They can be worn while showering, swimming, sleeping, and exercising. The result is long, thick, beautiful eyelashes without the need for mascara, though water-based mascara may be used if desired.

What is the difference between Classic and Volume extensions? Which should I choose?

•  Classic lashes are single extensions that are applied one-to-one on your natural lash. They are great for those short on time, who naturally have a good amount of lashes with no gaps, or who want a little more “pop”
•  Volume lashes are much finer and lighter in weight than classic lashes, so multiple lashes can be placed on one natural lash and still equal the weight of one classic lash. They give a more feathery, natural look, and are great for those who have sparser lashes or those who want a thicker effect than classic can provide. They also tend to last longer than classic lashes.
•  Both classic and volume can be tailored to look more natural or more dramatic, depending on what length, thickness, and amount of lashes are used.
You can always start with classic and incorporate volume on your next fill to see if you like them. They look great mixed together.

How long do they last?

To keep your lashes full and long-lasting, it is recommended you get a fill every 2-3 weeks. Your extensions will shed as your natural lashes do during their growth cycle. Natural eyelashes grow in and shed in a 60-90 day cycle, with approximately 1 to 2 lashes shedding per day, per eye. During your fill, new eyelash extensions will be applied to the new lash growth to replace lashes that might have shed.

How does it work?

You get to decide what length and curl type you want, and whether you would like a natural look or a more dramatic look. You will be asked to lie down on your back on a massage table. Your lower lashes will be covered with collagen anti-wrinkle under eye pad. You will then be asked to close your eyes until the end of the procedure. One individual eyelash extension will be adhered with professional lash glue to one of your natural lashes. This process is repeated until 95% of lashes are covered. Your extensions will last until your natural lash is shed. You will need to get fills periodically to maintain the look of your eyelash extensions.

How long does it take?

Full classic sets usually take between 2- 2.5 hours, Volume sets usually take between 2.5-3 hours, fills usually take between 1-1.5 hours.

How often should I get fills?

It is recommended that you get a fill every 2-3 weeks, depending on how fast your lash growth cycle is.

Can eyelash extensions damage my lashes?

If applied correctly by an experienced professional, eyelash extensions will not damage your natural eyelashes. If you pick at your eyelashes, however, you will damage your lashes. If at any time you need your lashes removed, please call us immediately! Don’t attempt to pull your lashes out yourself.

What if I need to open my eyes for something during the procedure?

Let the practitioner know, and they will assist you in opening your eyes. The glue must dry before you open your eyes or you risk getting it into your eye which will cause stinging and burning. Occasionally a few lashes may get accidentally glued to the bottom lashes or eye patch. The practitioner will simply gently remove the lash so that you can open your eyes.
